NTU SEED | Explains Executive Education Through Interview and Digital Ads

NTU SEED sought to help senior managers and business successors understand its open-enrolment courses. VOCAL MIDDLE Communications planned a Wealth Magazine interview covering the programme approach and learner perspectives, alongside digital advertising for a succession course on CommonWealth Magazine. The existing case page reports nearly 550,000 ad impressions or reach instances; it provides no enquiry, application or enrolment result.

Project Goals

The Service for Executive Education Development at National Taiwan University wanted business leaders, senior managers and successors to understand its open-enrolment courses and learning approach. A course name alone could not explain how academic insight and practical management experience were combined. VOCAL MIDDLE planned an editorial interview and digital advertising to make the programme rationale, learner perspectives and admissions information available in different settings. The aim was to help prospective participants assess relevance to leadership and succession decisions.

Business and Communication Challenge

Executive education is a decision with implications for both personal development and organizational leadership. Prospective learners may want to hear not only what topics a course covers, but also why it was designed that way and how peers experienced it. NTU SEED had the resources of a management school and long-standing executive education activity, while audiences encountered its information in different contexts. An in-depth financial publication interview could explain the educational approach; a digital placement during recruitment could provide a quick route to programme details. The campaign therefore used distinct formats for explanation and discovery. Advertising reach alone cannot show how many people considered or joined a course.

Strategy and Approach

Explain the programme through an interview
The team planned an interview in Wealth Magazine with a centre representative and perspectives from two learners to make the educational rationale concrete.

Place a digital ad during recruitment
A digital placement in CommonWealth Magazine introduced the succession programme to relevant readers and provided a concise point of entry to course information.

Results and Impact

The existing VOCAL MIDDLE case page reports that a digital advertisement for a business succession course on CommonWealth Magazine reached nearly 550,000 times. It also describes the planned interview format in Wealth Magazine, including a centre representative and two learner perspectives. The reported figure is advertising reach, without a disclosed unique-person denominator. The page does not give clicks, enquiries, applications or enrolments, so the documented outcome is content planning and media exposure.
