Taiwan Startup Investment Conference Builds a Trend Platform

The Taiwan Startup Investment Community wanted its third annual conference to become a stronger platform for startup and investment trends. VOCAL MIDDLE linked founder and investor forums with participant experience, social sharing, and segmented media outreach. The published case records more than 800 decision-makers attending over two days, more than 50 media items, and voluntary sharing by more than 60 industry leaders.

Project Goals

Created on Facebook in October 2022 by early-stage investor Lin Wen-chin, the Taiwan Startup Investment Community had already developed a large online network and organised annual offline exchanges. For its third conference, the community aimed to move beyond a gathering format and create a more structured dialogue among founders, investors, and ecosystem partners. The programme needed to support fundraising and international-growth decisions, expand the circulation of forum insights, and reinforce the conference’s role as a reference point for Taiwan’s startup investment community.

Business and Communication Challenge

A startup investment conference serves several audiences at once. Founders look for fundraising and overseas-growth guidance; investors assess technology, market, and team potential; and journalists need angles connected to broader economic and industry change. If sessions follow only a speaker-by-speaker sequence, participants may leave with disconnected observations and the ideas may not travel beyond the room. The opportunity was to organise the agenda around founder and investor decision perspectives, then treat sponsorship, speakers, on-site experience, social assets, and press materials as one communications pathway. This would give each stakeholder a clear reason to participate and make the forum’s ideas easier to quote and extend.

Strategy and Approach

Design dual forums around founder and investor decisions
The conference introduced founder and investor forums under “Winning in an Age of Uncertainty.” Eighteen investment institutions, eight entrepreneurs, and seven ecosystem leaders addressed fundraising, expansion, regional strategy, and market change.

Manage the participant journey as an IMAGE Asset
VOCAL MIDDLE supported sponsorship planning, speaker materials, visitor flow, and presentation. Photo props, social assets, and venue design made participation visible and gave attendees practical material to share.

Extend the conference through segmented social and media outreach
Insights were repackaged for different audiences, while press release distribution and targeted interviews connected the event with technology and financial media. Speaker and participant assets encouraged voluntary sharing beyond the venue.

Results and Impact

The two-day conference drew more than 800 decision-makers with investment or entrepreneurial experience. The published case records more than 50 media items across outlets including Economic Daily News, Commercial Times, TVBS, MoneyDJ, and SET News, as well as voluntary sharing by more than 60 industry leaders and startup veterans. The programme brought together 18 investment institutions, eight entrepreneurs, and seven ecosystem leaders, creating documented participation and publicity across investors, founders, media, and industry communities. These results support the conference’s role as a visible meeting point for startup investment dialogue without claiming an unmeasured long-term perception change.
